Almost summer!
April 29, 2007
Hi everyone!
School is almost out...three more weeks...and then I'm on my way back to Philly! I can't wait to be finished with exams and come home to a warm meal and some great shows in the Philly area (check the 'shows' page...).
Then, drum role please, I'll be heading off to San Juan Puerto Rico for the summer to practice my Spanish. Again, I can't wait!
So, I've got lots of exciting things coming up, and life is GOOD!
Hope everyone is doing well, see you all very soon I hope!

Roses are red... Long Time Coming... Hello All!!!! It has been a while. Sorry for my MIA status for a while. It has been a long eventful summer and now, back at school, it's time for me to get back into my saddle with loads and loads of new writing material! Thanks to everyone for your e-mails and such over teh summer - it was great to hear from everyone. I can't wait to see you all in the near future. Here's a little update on me. I'm back at Harvard working hard on schoolwork, and also doing a lot of writing - some good, some bad, some just strange, but the point is this: I am having so much fun trying new things and getting so know some more musicians here on campus and working on guitar. Hopefully, I'll be able to try some new stuff out in concert soon! Speaking of which, please check out the SHOWS page, as there will be a stream of updates in the near future. And, I'll be updating this blog more frequently as well...pearls of wisdom will ensue. So, last little bit of news - I've also begun recording again! I am so excitied to lay down some scratch tracks of new material. It's been a long time coming and it's time to get the ball rolling (slowly but surely). so, there you have it, my life in a nut shell. hope everyone is doing well!! Cat Dust bunnies... So, today was one of those run around days, which I guess is to be expected for a Tuesday. But I eventually did tire out and I decided to watch a scene or two of Eternal Sunshine (a completely useless activity seeing as I've seen it multiple times). I kinda felt bad about not doing anything though, and my leg was doing that "can't sit still" thing anyway, so I figured why not swiffer the floors as I watched. Harvard is an old place, granted, but I have no idea how - and this is no joke - big fuzzy rabbits of dusty goodness can go unnoticed for a week....I live with 3 other people, and an ever reproducing family of furry creatures. Anyway, that was a completely unsatisfactory procrastination session, so I went back to writing my Spanish paper...and then I gave it another go writing some new songs (in french!). So, at this point, Spanish still beckons, but I feel as though my procrastination quota has been reached for the day. That being said, I want to mention that the gig at Club Passim went great! I had an awesome time, so thanks a lot to everyone who came!! I'll keep everybody posted about the next one! Off to be productive... hope everyone is doing well, Cat A "Hello" for VDay! Hello everyone! And happy Valentine's Day! So, this new page is meant to be a means for me to keep in touch with everyone. I'll be updating it with little anecdotes from up here in Cambridge and all kinds of music news. And by all means, if anyone wants to drop me a note at any time just to say hi...I love the sound my computer makes when I have mail...so send away! It's always good to hear from all of you. So, things have been great up here at school . I'm finally digging into second semester, and taking some great classes. We got a huge snow storm, 17 inches, over the weekend...and of course, the snowball fight that followed was equally grand in scale. So, the last few days, while the snow accumulated outside, I spent my time keeping shop in my dorm. I swiffered, I laundried and I got to write a letter...which I haven't gotten to do for ages, a two pager at that. I love snail mail. I also got to practice my guitar ad infinitum which was great (and I have some beautiful fretboard calluses to prove it!!) Most importantly, It's given me a chance to sit and write some new music. I can't wait to get out there and try some of it out. I'm starting to play some gigs up here in the Boston area, which is great! I've even gotten to go see some old friends from Philly play up here!! So, that's it for now, this is just a quick hello. I'll be writing again soon I hope! Please, go out and have fun tonght. I know Valentine's Day is an undeniably cheesy holiday...but so is MardiGras and that doesn't stop anybody from celebrating now does it? I highly recommend those new caramel filled kisses... Take care everyone! Cat
Have a great holiday everyone (if you can call it that), eat lots of chocolate and watch "Gone With the Wind".
Hope to see everyone soon in Boston and in Philly! Hope all is well with all of you.
